NORRISTOWN, Pa., March 2 (UPI) -- A teenager who alerted police to an alleged plan to attack a suburban Philadelphia high school has been charged with stealing from the boy he turned in.
Lewis Bennett III, 14, admitted in juvenile court Friday he broke into the home of Dillon Cossey in Plymouth Meeting, the Philadelphia Daily News reported. Cossey is in a youth detention center and his mother has been charged with buying a gun for him.
Bennett told the News last year that he was "just sick of hearing about all these school shootings." He got to meet President George W. Bush in a brief encounter at the Philadelphia International Airport.
In court Friday, he described entering the Cossey home twice and taking electronic equipment and jewelry. He said he sold Dillon Cossey's Xbox game console for $20.
Dillon Cossey admitted last year that he planned a shootout at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. His parents had removed him from the school because he was bullied about his weight.
