PALERMO, Italy, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- An alleged Mafia boss in Italy was arrested while watching a hit TV show on the criminal exploits of don Salvatore "Toto" Riina.

Michele Catalano, head of Palermo's Zen district, was arrested Thursday night in a girlfriend's flat after evading a recent mob roundup that netted Riina's Palermo heir, Salvatore Lo Piccolo, ANSA reported Friday.

The 48-year-old Catalano did not resist capture. In his pockets were a few hundred euros and pictures of Italian saints.

In addition to racketeering, Catalano was also wanted on drug and extortion charges.

The television series, "The Boss of Bosses," has been widely criticized for portraying ex-Mafia boss Riina, jailed for more than 100 killings, as an Italian hero.
