Iraqis to control security in Karbala

BAGHDAD, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Multi-national forces Sunday prepared to hand over the eighth of Iraq's 18 provinces to local security control.

Iraqi forces in Karbala will officially take control of the province Monday in a ceremony at a city stadium, the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, reported.

The ceremony will be attended by Iraqi officials and U.S. military officers, KUNA said.
