Tornado spotted in Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla., Oct. 17 (UPI) -- A tornado spotted Wednesday morning in central Oklahoma caused no damage, reports said.

Storm spotters observed the twister at about 9:30 a.m. near Kingfisher, The Oklahoman reported. Winds as high as 86 mph were reported in the area.

The National Weather Service predicted bad weather in much of the Midwest Wednesday, The Capital Times in Madison, Wis., said. Parts of Oklahoma and Nebraska were under a tornado watch, while forecasters warned of the possibility of high winds and hail in Wisconsin Thursday.

Wisconsin meteorologist Brian Olson said there was a possibility of tornadoes in the Plains and Midwest.
