LEXINGTON , Ky., Aug. 7 (UPI) -- A 26-year-old flight attendant in Lexington, Ky., has been charged with being drunk while preparing an Atlantic Southeast Airlines plane for take-off.
Sarah Mills was arrested Sunday while preparing a plane bound for Atlanta, and made her first court appearance on Monday, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported Tuesday.
The arrest report said a Blue Grass Airport police officer boarded the plane to retrieve lost property and thought Mills appeared unsteady on her feet.
When he asked if she had been drinking, she said she had, but refused blood or urine tests.
Apart from the intoxication charge, she also faces one of making a terroristic threat for allegedly telling the police officer, "You are dead," the report said.
The flight was canceled as there weren't enough crew members, the airline said.
Mills could not meet her $350 bond, and a public defender will represent her in court on Aug. 14, the newspaper said.
She also faces a civil review by the Federal Aviation Administration on charges of being a crew member of an airplane while drunk.
