Texas mom kills family, then self

FLOWER MOUND, Texas, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- A Texas woman, who apparently killed her husband, two children and herself, reportedly wrote a note claiming her family was infected with the HIV virus.

However, police told the Fort Worth (Texas) Star-Telegram the woman, identified as Jon Andrea Roberts, had no "known terminal illness."

Officials haven't released medical information for the rest of the family but said the cause of their deaths and any illnesses they suffered would be disclosed in a forthcoming medical examiner's report.

The bodies of the adults, both 41, were discovered Tuesday in the master bedroom of the family's Flower Mound, Texas, home, while 11-year-old Micayla and 7-year-old Dylan were found dead in their bedrooms, the Star-Telegram said.

Each victim had a single gunshot wound to the head.

Michael Roberts' mother and a neighbor found the bodies when they went to the home after Michael Roberts failed to appear for a business meeting, the newspaper said.

A report in the Flower Mound Messenger said a note pinned to a lamp warned those entering the house not to touch any blood or toothbrushes.

Police declined to discuss the contents of a second note found at the scene, the Star-Telegram said.
