WASHINGTON, May 25 (UPI) -- Respondents to a UPI-Zogby International poll see China's energy needs turning into a problem to U.S. energy supplies.
Some 81 percent of those asked either strongly or somewhat agreed that China's growing energy demands would have an adverse affect on U.S. energy supplies. Only 10.5 percent either strongly (3 percent) or somewhat (7.5 percent) disagreed.

Male respondents -- by 53.4 percent to 37.4 percent -- were more likely than female participants to give the "strongly agree" answer.
The Zogby interactive poll was conducted May 16-18 with 5,141 U.S. residents participating. There is a margin of error of 1.4 percentage points.
