Previously, six off-duty policemen were involved Dec.15 in beating of four bar patrons and Officer Anthony Abbate's attack on a female bartender Feb. 19 was seen on videotape across the nation and overseas.

Police Supt. Phil Cline resigned this week in the wake of the highly-publicized beatings.
