LONDON, March 27 (UPI) -- Lawyers for the British royal family went to court to block the effort of a man who says he's Princess Margaret's illegitimate son to see her will.
Frank Hinks urged the High Court Family Division to refuse a request from Robert Brown, who says he may be the late princess' son. Hinks called the request "frivolous, vexatious and an abuse of the court process," the Daily Mail reported Tuesday.
Brown asked the court for access to both Princess Margaret's will and the Queen Mother's will.
Princess Margaret, who died in 2002 at the age of 71, was the sister of Queen Elizabeth. Brown, 52, believes he could be the child of Princess Margaret and Peter Townsend, with whom she had a relationship. His mother is officially listed as a model who worked for the queen's former dresser.
