Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist
CHICAGO, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- U.S. postal inspectors are offering a $100,000 reward for the arrest of the person who sent mail bombs to investment firms in Chicago and Kansas City, Mo.
Pipe bombs were mailed to American Century Investments in Kansas City on Jan. 31 and to Perkins, Wolf, McDonnell & Co. in Chicago's Loop on Feb. 2, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
Investigators say neither bomb was triggered to explode and they were both accompanied by notes that said "Bang, you're dead." The notes were signed "The Bishop."
Charles Bronson played professional assassin Arthur Bishop in the 1972 movie "The Mechanic." The Sun-Times said Bronson's character put explosives in a car to kill a rival along with a note that says "Bang, you're dead."
The newspaper said the bombs were postmarked Jan. 26 in Rolling Meadows, Ill., a suburb northwest of Chicago.
