LONDON, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- One of nine men arrested in British anti-terror raids last week has been charged with plotting to kidnap and kill a British Muslim soldier, police said.
Parviz Khan was accused of devising the plot between last Nov. 1 and his arrest on Jan. 31, the BBC reported Friday.

Khan, 36, also faces charges of supplying equipment and funding for a terrorist act, as do four others arrested during a police sweep in Birmingham. All will appear before City of Westminster magistrates in London, the report said.
A sixth suspect was held separately in Coventry and three suspects were released.
