At least one killed in crane collapse

BELLEVUE, Wash., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- The collapse of a giant crane in a Seattle suburb left at least one man dead and an apartment building heavily damaged.

Matt Ammon, a Microsoft employee, was killed Thursday night when the crane fell on the Bellevue building where he lived in a fourth-floor apartment, the Seattle Times reported.

Investigators combed through the wreckage Friday, finding no more victims.

Tom Landowski, who lives in another building of the same complex, called the collapse "a little short earthquake."

Two office buildings also suffered significant structural damage.

Removing the tower of the 210-foot crane is expected to take several days.
