China arrests two suspected of spying

BEIJING, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- A government spokesman said Chinese authorities arrested two Taiwanese businessmen on suspicion of spying for Taiwan.

The two were arrested separately in China's Hunan and Guangdong provinces, Xinhua said. The suspects' families have been informed of the arrests.

Taiwan officials said recently another Taiwanese businessman was the subject of strict control measures on the mainland, after his identity was revealed, Xinhua said. Chinese officials denied that report.
