Woman admits to killing three babies

TOURS, France, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- The French mother of two babies found in a freezer in a North Korean villa has reportedly admitted to killing a third infant.

Veronique Courjault and her husband, Jean-Louis, were charged Tuesday with two counts of infanticide in Tours, France, after DNA tests by South Korean and French officials indicated the babies were theirs, the Chosun Ilbo newspaper reported.

France Info radio reported Thursday the woman had since admitted to French police she had killed another baby born in France in 1999.

Her husband made the discovery of the frozen children on July 23 and contacted Seoul police. The couple initially said the children weren't theirs but the DNA tests disproved their claims, and the mother reportedly admitted she had given birth to them alone in their Seoul home in 2003.

She said her husband was unaware of her pregnancy as he was often away on business, the report said.
