PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- An Oregon deputy sheriff was reassigned due to his alleged frequent and inappropriate questioning of women about tattoos.
Deputy Christopher Green of Multnomah County, which includes Portland, was taken off street patrol due to concerns from prosecutors, who said Green's actions in 2004 made him a liability in court, The Oregonian said Saturday.
The report said Green had been suspended earlier after he asked several women to unzip their slacks or lift their shirts for him on the grounds he was looking for a female suspect with a distinctive tattoo.
Sheriff Bernie Guisto initially had refused to take Green off patrol again this year despite the refusal of prosecutors to take Green's cases because of his viability as a witness, the report said, but he relented on Friday and assigned him to training duty.
