Germany busts missile spy ring

BERLIN, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- German police said Friday they had cracked an alleged missile spy ring with possible foreign ties.

Deutsche Welle reports raids were conducted on 12 sites in four states. The prosecutor's office did not say how many people were arrested.

"The accused are suspected of attempting, in the service of a foreign intelligence agency, to obtain parts for delivery systems and conventional weaponry for armed forces," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
