Parachute malfunctions in building jump

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- A 37-year-old man was seriously injured after trying to parachute from the top a downtown Louisville, Ky., building.

Police say the man, whose name was not released, climbed the outside of one of the Waterfront Plaza buildings early Sunday morning and attempted to parachute from the top floor, the Louisville Courier reported.

His parachute malfunctioned and he landed in the middle of Main Street, the newspaper said. He was hospitalized in serious condition.

Prosecutors are reviewing the case to determine if any charges would be filed.
