RUGELEY, England, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- An English primary school teacher has been sentenced to 15 months in jail for having an affair with the teenage son of friends.
The mother of the 14-year-old boy told the Telegraph that Hannah Grice ruined her son's life.
"Prison's the best place for her," the mother said. "She was actively pursuing my son. This was the biggest breach of trust imaginable."
Grice's husband learned of the affair from the boy's sister and proved it by following his wife and the teen's home, the Telegraph said. He found the boy hiding in a wardrobe in his bedroom.
The prosecutor said that Grice took advantage of the boy's crush on her and that the crime was especially bad because she was a teacher at a school in Rugeley, Staffordshire. She was suspended when the charges were brought and has since resigned.
