BAGHDAD, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Saboteurs struck an oil pipeline north of Baghdad Wednesday starting a huge fire, Iraqi police said.
A police source said the pipeline linking the oil refinery of Biji, some 200 kilometers (125 miles) north of Baghdad, to the refinery of Dora in the Iraqi capital was blown up early Wednesday.

He said the attackers placed two explosive charges under the pipeline which they detonated by remote control, inflicting heavy damage and starting a huge fire.
The pipeline has been targeted several times in the past and the new sabotage is expected to further aggravate fuel shortages in Baghdad.
