WTO announces four nominees for DG

GENEVA, Switzerland, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- The World Trade Organization Wednesday identified four of the candidates nominated for the post of director general.

The nominees who will be vying for outgoing Director-General, Dr. Supachai Panichpakdi's position, which expires Aug. 31, are Carlos Perez del Castillo of Uruguay, Jaya Krishna Cuttaree of Mauritius, Luiz Felipe de Seixas Correa of Brazil and Pascal Lamy of France.

The selection process will conclude with a decision no later than May 31st.
