No date set for Ukraine's inauguration

KIEV, Ukraine, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Ukraine's Parliament will set a date for the presidential inauguration after the election outcome is officially announced, a source in Parliament has said.

Earlier reports had said that the inauguration would take place Jan. 13, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported Sunday.

In the Dec. 26 repeat runoff of the presidential election, Viktor Yushchenko received 51.99 percent of the vote and his rival Viktor Yanukovych 44.19 percent.

However, the Central Elections Commission has not announced the official results of the election.
