Dallas police find JFK artifacts in raid

DALLAS, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Dallas police say they found some historical items from the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy during a routine drug raid last year.

Among the memorabilia was an authentic Dallas police fingerprint card from Jack Ruby, the Dallas nightclub owner who killed accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, The Dallas Morning News reported Friday.

Police said it's unclear whether the fingerprints are from his arrest after Oswald's slaying in the basement of the police station, or possibly an earlier arrest.

The card was apparently stolen from the police department, Senior Cpl. Jess Lucio said. The suspect in the drug case said a relative who worked at the department gave it to him.

Other artifacts included photos of clothing and other personal items found in Oswald's Dallas apartment and a map of important sites in the assassination.

Police also found some autopsy photos of Bonnie and Clyde, the notorious bank robbers who roamed the Dallas area during the 1930s before they were killed by police in Louisiana.
