HOUSTON, June 8 (UPI) -- Former President George H.W. Bush plans to proceed with a parachute jump in Texas Sunday to mark his 80th birthday, two days after Ronald Reagan's funeral.

After Friday's memorial service for the 40th president of the United States at Washington National Cathedral, Bush will return to Houston for a birthday party Saturday and a parachute jump on Sunday, Time magazine reported.

Bush will jump with the Army parachute team, the Golden Knights, but he will not be tethered to any other jumpers.
