No hike expected at OPEC meeting

ALGIERS, Algeria, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- OPEC ministers arrived in Algiers, Algeria, early Monday in advance of Tuesday's meeting when production quotas are expected to be kept unchanged.

One of the signs pointing to a lack of action is sliding world oil prices, Gulf Daily News reported.

The Bahrain newspaper said OPEC ministers were torn between keeping prices from plummeting and not offending the West by cutting production in the middle of winter.
