Hezbollah destroys Israeli bulldozer

BEIRUT, Lebanon, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Lebanon's militant Hezbollah said it destroyed an Israeli bulldozer which pushed through a border fence Monday. No casualties were reported.

A Hezbollah statement said the bulldozer trespassed on Lebanese territory near the region of Birket Richa and was confronted by guerrilla fire.

"The bulldozer was hit directly," the statement said, noting, "It is not the first time that the Israeli enemy commits such violations long the border."

There was no independent confirmation of the incident.
