Court delays removal of West Bank outpost

TEL AVIV, Israel, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- An Israeli court issued a temporary injunction Thursday preventing the removal of a house in an illegal outpost south of the West Bank city of Nablus.

The residents of the outpost claimed they had been summoned to the hearing only two days in advance and did not have enough time to prepare their arguments. The court ordered the state to respond to the petitioners within five days.

The Ha'aretz news service said outpost is one of three Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz planned to evacuate. Israel Defense Forces evacuated the outpost in July, but settlers returned.
