Actor Tom Sizemore convicted of abuse

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Actor Tom Sizemore faces up to four years in jail for abusing and threatening his ex-girlfriend, former "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss.

Sizemore was convicted of domestic violence, criminal threats and harassing phone calls, but jurors acquitted him of nine other counts Friday, The Los Angeles Times reported.

"I'd like to put this behind me now, and do what I've always loved doing -- which is to make movies," Sizemore told reporters after the verdict.

Sizemore starred in "Black Hawk Down" and "Saving Private Ryan."

He started a two-year relationship with Fleiss in 1999, after she was released from federal prison where she spent 21 months on charges stemming from her call-girl operation.

Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 2. Prosecutors will seek jail time for Sizemore, the Times said.

Sizemore still faces another trial over allegations that he assaulted another ex-girlfriend in December, the paper said.
