4 killed tow truck falls on SUV

SAN FRANCISCO, July 14 (UPI) -- Four people died Monday when an out-of-control tow truck ran off an elevated section of a San Francisco freeway and landed on an SUV.

NBC11 in San Jose said the bizarre tragedy closed part of Interstate 208 around the Alemany Boulevard overpass.

The California Highway Patrol said the tow truck was apparently involved in a minor accident with another vehicle. The impact caused the truck to swerve, crash though a fence and fall 30-40 feet onto a Toyota 4-runner.

All three people in the SUV were killed, along with the tow truck driver.
