The Coast Guard received an emergency radio call at 7:24 a.m. from the 32-foot charter vessel Taki Tooo, CNN reported.

The boat capsized in 10- to 15-foot swells and winds were eight knots, the Coast Guard said.

Witnesses told CNN the boat rolled quickly just north of the northern jetty, trapping some its passengers inside the craft.

"The people in the boat didn't have a chance," one witness told CNN. "None of them had a chance. It happened instantaneous."

The search for the missing person continued Saturday afternoon as the righted vessel drifted back and forth along the beach.
