Court says Chicago can sue gun makers

An Illinois state appeals court has ruled the city of Chicago can sue the gun industry for creating a public nuisance by irresponsibly selling firearms. Monday's ruling is a victory for Mayor Richard M. Daley, who backed the city's $433 million lawsuit against the industry filed in November 1998.
