Md. to seek death penalty in sniper case

ROCKVILLE, Md., Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Maryland will seek the death penalty against sniper suspects John Muhammad, 41, and John Lee Malvo, 17. Montgomery County State's Attorney Douglas Gansler also said Friday that Montgomery County will be the first jurisdiction to prosecute the sniper suspects. Arrest warrants for the two men are to be issued within the next few hours. They will be charged with six counts of first-degree murder.
