Report: Taylor ends GOP Montana Senate bid

BILLINGS, Mont., Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The Republican candidate for one of Montana's Senate seats has decided to drop out of the race, leaving the field to incumbent Democrat Max Baucus. The Billings Gazette said Thursday that Mike Taylor decided he was trailing too badly in the polls and blamed negative campaigning by Baucus.
