New York's Rep. Gilman to retire

WASHINGTON, July 2 (UPI) -- Rep. Benjamin Gilman, R-N.Y., the chairman of the House International Relations Committee, announced his retirement Tuesday after 30 years in office. Gilman, 79, plans to leave office after the current session ends.
