Lawyers ask judge to stop shredding

HOUSTON, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Lawyers for shareholders asked a federal judge Tuesday to establish procedures to protect evidence in the Enron bankruptcy and prevent further shredding of documents. Attorney William Lerach said they want a "court-ordered evidence preservation process" to prevent the destruction of evidence at Enron's Houston headquarters.
