Okla. Republican elected to Congress

TULSA, Okla., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Republican state Rep. John Sullivan has won a special election to succeed Rep. Steve Largent, a Tulsa Republican who is leaving Congress to run for Oklahoma governor. Sullivan defeated Democrat Doug Dodd Tuesday night in the 1st Congressional District race in northeast Oklahoma.
