WASHINGTON, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., Friday opened a broad attack on the Bush administration's fiscal policy and claimed it could short-change security and homeland defense. In an opening gun of the 2002 political season, Dashcle said GOP tax cuts, not terrorism, have crippled the economy.
