DOJ not consulted on tribunal rules

WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Justice Department officials have not been consulted as the Department of Defense drafts rules for conducting military tribunals, Assistant Attorney General Michael Chertoff told the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday. The rules will guide the selection of lawyers, venue, and standards for justice.
