RightSignature, a software company specializing in obtaining signatures on electronic documents, has recently been acquired by software company, Citrix. The two companies have been working together for nearly a year and have now made it official. The RightSignature team will begin working immediately with Citrix. There are currently no further details on the terms of the merger.
The two companies have been collaborating on implementing RightSignature with one of Citrix's cloud-services, ShareFile (available now). ShareFile specializes in syncing and sharing files. Unlike some competitors, who have less-than-stellar protection for clients, ShareFile prides themselves on their security features and ease of use when sharing via mobile devices.
RightSignature, on the other hand, focuses purely on electronic signatures. They do this by giving users a simple template for sending electronic signature requests. Upload the file you need a signature on, and edit the template to your liking. Need additional text boxes? Simply drag and drop them into the template, all of the coding is self-contained within RightSignature, meaning you can focus on the necessary information you will need to procure from your client. There are no downloads required on the client's end, or any need for a RightSignature account. All they need is an email address and a web browser.
Clients can sign in a multitude of ways. Either by typing their name, or by faxing a printed copy back to you. There is also a mouse-signing feature and if your client is mobile, they can sign via touchscreen. Apple users get an additional feature, which makes use of the iPhone and iPad's thumbprint technology. One thing that RightSignature has always been adamant about is that their signature service as legal and binding as traditional paper-and-pen signatures. (You can read more about the legality here)
Citrix is definitely a good company to team with, having a proven track record of taking start-ups and implementing their software flawlessly.
