Former NBA lottery pick Michael Beasley scores 63 in China

SHANDONG, China, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Forward Michael Beasley had a slight resurgence when reunited with the Miami Heat in 2014, but has now found his way out of the NBA.

Beasley, who was drafted No. 2 overall by the Heat in the 2008 NBA Draft, averaged 8.8 points per game in 24 games for the Heat six years later. In between the two South Florida stints, he played for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns.

After the 2014, season Beasley signed with the Shandong Golden Stars of the Chinese Basketball Association. This season he has averaged 31.9 points per game.

One of the most impressive feats of his basketball life, came when he wrapped up his second CBA All-Star Game MVP award posting 63 points, 19 rebounds and 13 assists.

Beasley, 27, has averaged 13 points and 4.8 points per game in 433 career NBA games.
