NEWARK, N.J., Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Brad Boyes took advantage of a New Jersey turnover to score 2:01 into overtime Thursday, giving the New York Islanders a 5-4 win over the Devils.

The goal came on the power play with Henrik Tallinder in the penalty box for cross checking. It was the third overtime game New Jersey has played this season and the Devils have lost them all.

New Jersey goaltender Martin Brodeur misfired on a would-be clearing pass to set up the winning goal. John Tavares, who scored his third and fourth goals of the season in the game, seized the loose puck along the boards and put a shot on goal.

That attempt was blocked, but Boyes was there to put in the rebound.

New Jersey never led, but came from behind three times to tie it. The last of those tying goals came from Adam Henrique with 6:10 to go in the third period that forged a 4-4 deadlock.

The win went to Evgeni Nabokov, who made 28 saves. Brodeur surrendered all five goals on 35 shots.
