Taj Gibson had a season-best 19 points for Chicago and both John Lucas and Joakim Noah had 10.

Josh Smith scored 19 for Atlanta, which has lost two in a row.

The Hawks cut a 12-point halftime deficit to four early in the third period but Deng then paced a 12-0 Chicago run that decided he contest.

Chicago won three of the four meetings with the Hawks this season.
