DALLAS, March 17 (UPI) -- Kari Lehtonen picked up his second shutout of the season while making 23 saves Thursday, bringing the Dallas Stars a 5-0 win over Chicago.

The Stars moved into a sixth-place tie with Chicago in the tight Western Conference playoff race.

Dallas ran up its largest goal total in two months and came within one of equaling the most it has scored in a game all season.

Steve Ott started the onslaught in the opening period, Jamie Benn and Brenden Morrow scored in the second and Jason Williams and Brandon Segal had third-period goals.

Corey Crawford was lifted after giving up three goals on 10 shots. Former Dallas goaltender Marty Turco came in and made 15 saves.

It was Chicago's fourth loss in five games.
