NEW YORK, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- The Texas Rangers moved to within a game of their first trip to the World Series Tuesday by stunning the New York Yankees 10-3.
Bengie Molina drilled a go-ahead three-run homer in the sixth inning of Game 4 of the American League Championship Series at Yankee Stadium.
CC Sabathia will get the start for the New Yorkers in Game 5 Wednesday. The Yanks will be without slugger Mark Teixeira, who left the game with a strained right hamstring.
Yankees starter A.J. Burnett (0-1) went six innings, giving up five runs on six hits. Robinson Cano went 2-for-4 and had a solo home run.
Derek Holland (1-0) picked up the win with 3 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Tommy Hunter. Hunter gave up three runs in 3 1/3 innings; however, the Texas bullpen kept the potent Yankee offense off the board the rest of the way.
