NHL: Vancouver 3, Buffalo 2

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Brad Lukowich's third-period goal Monday sent the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-2 win over Buffalo.

Lukowich scored his first goal since Nov. 5, 2007 -- a stretch of 111 games -- with an assist from Daniel Sedin. Henrik Sedin and Mikael Samuelsson scored and Roberto Luongo stopped 30 shots for Vancouver, which won its fifth straight game and shares first-place in the Northwest Division with the Colorado Avalanche.

The Canucks have 12 wins and two ties in their last 16 games.

Thomas Vanek and Adam Mair scored and Ryan Miller was 25-of-28 in goal for the Sabres, who finished their road trip 2-3-2.
