NBA: New York 88, Chicago 81

NEW YORK, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- The New York Knicks, led by Al Harrington with 20 points, almost lost a 22-point lead Tuesday but held on and escaped with an 88-81 win over the Chicago Bulls.

David Lee had 18 points and 21 rebounds, five in the final stages, as the Knicks fought off a late Chicago rally.

.New York's big lead was cut to a single point with 1:41 remaining but the Knicks managed to stay ahead and sealed the victory with late free throws by Lee and Danilo Gallinari.

Derrick Rose posted 26 points, Luol Deng added 23 and Joakim Noah pulled down 21 rebounds for the Bulls.
