NHL: San Jose 4, Anaheim 3

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 22 (UPI) -- Patrick Marleau's third-period power-play goal Tuesday kept the San Jose Sharks alive with a 4-3 win over Anaheim in the Western Conference quarterfinals.

The Ducks will still have a 2-1 edge in the best-of-seven series going into Game 4 Thursday at Honda Center.

Besides Marleau's game-winner, Dan Boyle finished with two goals and an assist for San Jose. Rob Blake added a goal and an assist.

Evgeni Nabokov made 27 saves in the victory.

Bobby Ryan, Chris Pronger and James Wisniewski each scored for Anaheim.

Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller turned aside 31 shots in the loss.
