Hofstra drops football program

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Cory Stillman had a goal and an assist Saturday night when the Florida Panthers rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Nathan Horton had three assists and Jay Bouwmeester scored the game-winner for the Panthers, who have won four of their last five games.
Craig Anderson was pulled after the first period after he allowed three goals on 11 shots. His replacement, Tomas Vokoun, stopped all 22 shots he faced.
Vincent Lecavalier and Vinny Prospal each had a goal and an assist for the Lightning. Mike Smith was charged with four goals on 21 shots in the loss.
Florida trailed by two goals after one period.
