NBA: Detroit 97, Orlando 93

ORLANDO, Fla., April 28 (UPI) -- Chauncey Billups scored 25 points Saturday as Detroit beat Orlando 97-93 to sweep their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series in four games.

Orlando led 47-46 at the half, but was outscored 26-21 in the third quarter as Detroit gradually seized control of the close contest.

Rasheed Wallace and Tayshaun Prince scored 13 points apiece, and Chris Webber had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Pistons, who will face either Chicago or Miami in the second round as they continue their quest for a fifth consecutive Eastern Conference final.

This was their first playoff sweep since 1990.

Dwight Howard led Orlando with 29 points and 17 rebounds. Grant Hill had 17 points, four rebounds and three assists, and Darko Milicic had 14 points and six rebounds for the Magic, who lost all eight games against Detroit this season, including both the regular season and the playoffs.
