NHL: Calgary 4, Edmonton 0

EDMONTON, Alberta, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Miikka Kiprusoff made 31 saves Saturday night for his sixth shutout of the season, as the Calgary Flames beat Edmonton, 4-0.

Kiprusoff tied Dan Bouchard for most career shutouts by a Flames goaltender, with 20.

Dion Phaneuf and Matthew Lombardi each had a goal and an assist as Calgary won its second straight game and its seventh out of nine. Dustin Boyd and Alex Tanguay also scored for the Flames and Roman Hamrlik had two assists.

Dwayne Roloson gave up four goals on just 16 shots before the Oilers replaced him with Jussi Markkanen in the third period. Markkanen stopped all seven shots he faced, as the Oilers lost for the first time in their last three games.

Calgary scored first when Lombardi picked up a rebound of Hamrlik's power-play shot and put it past Roloson at 14:09 of the first.

The Flames made it 2-0 at 13:09 of the second when Boyd scored on a wrister from the right circle, and then went up, 3-0, with 1:27 left in the second when Tanguay scored off a pass from Kristian Huselius.
