Aurilia advanced to second on J.T. Snow's groundout but Kent came through with a two-out double down the left field line.

The Expos nearly tied the contest in the bottom of the inning. After Troy O'Leary's one-out single, Fernando Tatis hit a double off the wall in right that bounced over the head of right fielder Reggie Sanders.

But Shinjo raced over from center, fielded the ball and fired a one-hop strike to the plate, where catcher Benito Santiago easily tagged out O'Leary.

Robb Nen pitched a perfect ninth for his 11th save. Aaron Fultz (2-1) pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of starter Jason Schmidt and earned the victory.

The Expos tied the contest in the bottom of the fourth. Vladimir Guerrero had a leadoff double and, after O'Leary fouled out, scored when Schmidt gave up consecutive walks to Tatis, Lee Stevens and Orlando Cabrera.

An inning later, Endy Chavez reached base on a one-out infield single, advanced to second on Jose Vidro's single and scored on Guerrero's single to left field to give the Expos a 2-1 advantage.

Ohka yielded just one run and four hits in seven innings. He took the mound at the beginning of the eighth but was replaced by Lloyd when the Giants sent Benard to the plate.

San Francisco superstar Barry Bonds was given the day off.
